Thunderbird 1 is the rapid-response rocket-plane of International Rescue, piloted by Scott Tracy in Gerry Anderson's classic 1965–66 supermarionation series Thunderbirds. This kit is based on the updated design from the 2004 Jonathan Frakes live-action film revival rather than the original TV series version. Released to accompany the movie, it represents the sleeker, more angular redesign of the vehicle.

Snap-fit construction — no glue or paint required.

Box contents:

• Injection-moulded plastic parts, pre-coloured in red, silver, and blue
• Sticker sheet (external markings and detail)
• Japanese-language instructions (printed inside box lid)
• 1/450 scale Thunderbird 1 bonus model (static wings, less detailed) — in scale with the companion TB2 and TB3 kits

Based on the 2004 movie design — not compatible with classic TV series livery. Now discontinued.
