Empire Airlines grew from a small commuter operator in Utica, New York into a busy regional jet carrier in the early 1980s, and its fleet was built around the Fokker F28 Mk4000. The Mk4000 was the stretched version of Fokker's twin-jet, seating up to 85 passengers on short routes across the Northeast, until Empire merged into Piedmont in 1986. This Airliners America kit was injection moulded in Holland by IMC and comes with a dedicated ATP decal sheet made under licence from Empire.
