AOSWL100 - Aoshima 1/700 USSR Naval Plane - WWHP113818
Preowned, Resealed, Mint inside, Box worn
In the 1970s the Soviet Navy launched its first aircraft-carrying cruisers, the Kiev class. They carried two types of aircraft that NATO knew well. The Yakovlev Yak-36 “Forger”, later designated the Yak-38, was the Soviet Union’s only operational VTOL jet fighter. It took off and landed vertically, using two lift jets behind the cockpit plus a vectored main engine. The Kamov Ka-25 “Hormone” was a compact anti-submarine helicopter whose coaxial twin rotors let it fit on crowded ship decks without a tail rotor. This Aoshima Water Line Series set gives you 32 aircraft of both types, enough to fill the deck and hangar of a 1/700 Kiev-class carrier.
- Injection-moulded plastic parts for 32 aircraft in total
- Yak-36 (Yak-38) “Forger-A” VTOL jet fighters
- Ka-25 “Hormone-A” anti-submarine helicopters
