Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Kasuga Maru was a Japanese passenger liner built for Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK Line), one of the Nitta Maru-class fast liners completed around 1940 for trans-Pacific service. Soon after entering service she was requisitioned by the Imperial Japanese Navy and converted into the escort carrier Taiyō, making her civilian career very short-lived. This kit depicts her in her original ocean liner configuration. It is Aoshima's vintage 600-yen Water Line Series boxing from 1982.
