Preowned, Resealed, Mint
Yawata Maru was a Japanese passenger liner built for NYK (Nippon Yusen Kaisha) and completed in 1940, sister ship to Nitta Maru and one of a trio of fast modern liners built for Japan's long-distance routes. With the outbreak of war she was requisitioned by the Imperial Japanese Navy and converted to an escort carrier, recommissioned as Un'yo. The kit depicts her in her original prewar liner configuration in NYK colours.
