Preowned, Resealed, Mint
Nitta Maru was a Japanese passenger liner built for NYK (Nippon Yusen Kaisha) and completed in 1940, one of a trio of fast modern liners intended for the Europe and trans-Pacific routes. With the outbreak of war she was requisitioned by the Imperial Japanese Navy and converted to an escort carrier, recommissioned as Chuyo. The kit depicts her in her original prewar liner configuration in NYK colours.
