Description
ANIAA-2104 - Anigrand Craftworks 1/72 Douglas C-133A Cargomaster - WWHP113726
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
Douglas designed the C-133 Cargomaster to give the U.S. Air Force a large turboprop strategic airlifter. It skipped the prototype stage, so the first production C-133A flew in April 1956. Four Pratt & Whitney T34 turboprops powered it, and its huge fuselage could carry outsize loads such as Thor and Jupiter intermediate-range ballistic missiles. Clamshell rear doors on the later C-133B let it carry the Atlas ICBM as well. Only 50 were built. They flew MATS and MAC routes around the world and supported the war in Southeast Asia until the C-5 Galaxy replaced them in 1971.
