Description
AMT1386/12 - AMT 1/25 1967 Mercury Comet Cyclone GT - WWHP113834
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
In 1966, Mercury restyled the Comet onto the larger Ford Fairlane intermediate body to compete in the booming mid-sixties muscle car market. The top performance model was the Cyclone GT, powered by a 390 cubic inch V8 with a four-barrel carburettor and rated at 320 hp. It came with a twin-scooped fibreglass hood, bucket seats, GT stripes and a heavy-duty suspension. In 1966 a Cyclone GT convertible paced the Indianapolis 500. For 1967 the Cyclone GT got a revised grille and trim, and it is now one of the rarest Mercury muscle cars, with only about 3,400 built in its final year. This AMT Authentic Kit builds a stock ‘67 Cyclone GT hardtop, with your choice of manual or automatic transmission.
