The 10th Hussars were one of the most flamboyantly uniformed regiments in the British Army — the elaborate pelisse jacket, busby, and heavily braided dolman made Hussar uniforms some of the most visually striking of the Napoleonic era. The 10th served at Waterloo in 1815 as part of the cavalry reserve, though their role in the battle was limited compared to the more famous heavy cavalry charges of that day.

One of the first mounted figures Airfix produced for their 54mm Collectors Series, first released in 1971. The kit builds a trooper in full Waterloo-period dress, mounted on horseback, complete with sword and carbine. Painting guide and instructions included — the colourful uniform offers a rewarding painting project with the scarlet, blue and gold of the period.
