Description
AIRA04017 - Airfix - 1/72 Bristol Blenheim Mk.IVF - WWHP113749
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
The Bristol Blenheim was one of the RAF’s most important aircraft in the early years of the Second World War. When it entered service in 1937 it was faster than many contemporary fighters. The Mk.IVF was a long-range fighter conversion of the long-nosed Mk.IV, with a ventral pack of four .303 machine guns. It flew with Coastal Command protecting shipping and as one of Fighter Command’s first night fighters. The Blenheim also has strong Canadian roots: Fairchild Aircraft of Longueuil, Quebec built it under licence as the Bolingbroke, which flew coastal patrols with the RCAF and trained thousands of aircrew under the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan.
- Original factory seal, contents unopened
- Two marking options shown on the box: Coastal Command camouflage “WR-L” and an all-black night fighter scheme
- Underwing stores and the ventral gun pack for the Mk.IVF fighter fit
- Airfix instructions and decals included as issued
