Description
AIR381- Airfix 1/72 D.H. Heron II - WWHP119375
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The de Havilland Heron was a four-engined development of the Dove, first flown in 1950 and built for short-haul regional and corporate work from unprepared strips. The Series 2 introduced retractable undercarriage, and the type served airlines, oil companies, and the RAF Queen's Flight. Roy Cross box art shows the Heron in petroleum company colours over an oilfield, matching the kit's corporate livery option.
This is the original 1959 Airfix tooling in the 1960s "AIRFIX-72" Series 3 rigid box, made in England.
Box contents:
- 58 parts molded in silver-grey plastic, plus clear parts
- Separately molded rudder, elevators, and ailerons; optional-position cabin door
- Cockpit interior with two pilots, plus four passenger figures and boarding stairs
- Retracting undercarriage and rotating propellers
- Waterslide decals with two options: petroleum company corporate scheme and RAF
- Assembly instructions
