AIR04001-5 - Airfix 1/72 Wellington B.III - WWWEB10113631
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Vickers Wellington was the most-produced British bomber of World War II, with over 11,000 built across all variants. The B.III was the most numerous mark, powered by two Bristol Hercules XI radial engines and featuring a geodetic airframe construction designed by Barnes Wallis. Wellingtons bore the brunt of RAF Bomber Command's early strategic offensive against Germany, operating primarily as a night bomber from 1939 through the mid-war period before being replaced in the front-line role by four-engine heavies.
