Description
AIR01064 - Airfix 1/72 Focke Wulf Fw 190D - WWHP111670
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190D ("Dora") was the long-nose, in-line-engined development of the famous radial Fw 190 fighter. Powered by the Junkers Jumo 213 engine, the D-9 gave the Luftwaffe a high-altitude performer that could finally meet late-war Allied fighters on more even terms, and it is widely regarded as one of the best German piston fighters of the war. It entered service in late 1944 and fought through to the end in 1945.
This is an Airfix Series 1 boxing of the 1/72 Fw 190D. The kit provides markings for two late-war D-9 aircraft: one of IV (Sturm)/JG 3 at Prenzlau, March 1945 (flown by Lt. Oskar Romm), and one of 6. Staffel, II./JG 26 at Nordhorn, 1945.
Box contents:
- Injection-moulded plastic parts on sprue
- Clear canopy
- Waterslide decal sheet (two Luftwaffe D-9 marking options)
- Illustrated assembly/painting instructions with colour profiles
