The Su-24MR "Fencer-E" is the dedicated tactical reconnaissance version of Sukhoi's variable-geometry Su-24M strike aircraft, entering service in the mid-1980s. It replaced the bomber's attack systems with an integrated suite of cameras, infrared and side-looking radar sensors carried internally, supplemented by specialised underwing reconnaissance pods, while retaining air-to-air missiles for self-defence. Zvezda's 1/72 kit captures the type's distinctive swing wings, side-by-side cockpit and reconnaissance fit.
