The S-400 Triumf is a Russian long- and medium-range surface-to-air missile system developed by Almaz-Antey and introduced into Russian service in 2007 as a successor to the S-300 family. Designed to engage aircraft, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles at altitudes up to 27,000 metres, each battery comprises a command post, radar vehicles, and up to 12 launch vehicles carrying different missile types. The system has been exported to China, Turkey, India, and Belarus.
