The BMPT (Boyevaya Mashina Podderzhki Tankov, "tank-support fighting vehicle"), nicknamed "Terminator," is a heavily armed Russian armoured vehicle built on a main-battle-tank chassis to protect tanks in urban and close combat. It carries a mixed armament of twin 30mm autocannon, anti-tank guided missiles, and machine guns, allowing it to engage multiple targets at different elevations at once. The type was developed by Uralvagonzavod from the 1980s onward.
