Includes aftermarket x1
Preowned, Resealed, Mint inside, Box worn
The Vickers Wellington was the backbone of RAF Bomber Command in the early years of the Second World War, and with more than 11,400 built it was the most produced British bomber of the conflict. Barnes Wallis’s geodetic lattice structure let the “Wimpy” absorb heavy battle damage and still bring its crew home. The Mk.IC was the most numerous early variant, flying night raids over Germany until the four-engine heavies took over in 1942.
This example includes 1 aftermarket upgrade.
- 21 sprues totalling 644 parts, with geodetic detail on the wings and fuselage
- Clear parts for the turrets, cockpit and glazing
- Photo-etched fret and printed film instrument panel
- Rubber main and tail tires, plus metal shafts
- Decal sheet with RAF roundels, fin flashes and squadron codes, including BL, AA and DD
- Instruction booklet with full colour painting and marking guide
- Completed model measures 387 mm long with a 547 mm wingspan
