Description
TOM3553 - Tom's Modelworks 1/350 BB-55 North Carolina Detail Set
USS North Carolina (BB-55) was the lead ship of the first class of American fast battleships, commissioned in 1941 and armed with nine 16-inch guns while retaining the speed to escort fast carrier groups. She served extensively in the Pacific and is preserved today as a museum ship in Wilmington, North Carolina. This photo-etched brass set is designed for the Trumpeter 1/350 kit (#05303).
Package contents:
- Photo-etched brass frets with railings, ladders, splinter shields, mount rails for 40mm quad mounts, splinter shields and sights for 20mm guns, catapult parts, radar, and cranes
- Instruction sheet with reference notes
Scale 1/350. Aftermarket detail set for the Trumpeter kit. Parts allow the ship to be back-dated to its early 1942 fit, and the set can also be used to build USS Washington (BB-56). Base kit, paint, and adhesive not included.
