The StuH 42 & StuG III Ausf. G Early Production “2-in-1” was a versatile German WWII self-propelled gun platform based on the proven Panzer III chassis, combining two distinct combat roles in a single kit option — the StuH 42 armed with a 10.5 cm howitzer for infantry support, and the StuG III Ausf. G armed with the long 7.5 cm StuK 40 gun for anti-tank operations. These vehicles became some of the most widely used German assault guns of the war, evolving continuously through late-war production with improved armour, simplified construction, and battlefield upgrades.
