The M4A1(76W) VVSS Late Production was one of the final evolutionary forms of the classic American Sherman medium tank — combining the cast-hull M4A1 design with the more powerful 76 mm M1 gun, improved “wet” ammunition stowage for crew survivability, and the original VVSS suspension system that still equipped many late-war vehicles in Europe. These tanks saw extensive service during the final phases of the Second World War, particularly in 1944–45 operations across Western Europe, where they provided balanced firepower, mobility, and reliability against increasingly well-armoured German forces. Takom’s 1/35 scale kit reproduces this late-production variant with finely detailed surface textures, accurate cast hull geometry, and a full suite of modern tooling features.
