The Takom 2129 1/35 AK-130 Russian Navy 130mm Automatic Naval Gun is a highly detailed large-scale model of one of the most powerful modern naval gun systems ever placed into operational service. Developed in the Soviet Union during the late 1970s and adopted in the 1980s, the AK-130 twin-barrel automatic naval cannon was designed to replace older Soviet destroyer and cruiser gun systems with a fully automated, high-rate-of-fire weapon capable of engaging surface ships, aircraft, and incoming missiles.

Mounted aboard major Soviet and Russian warships such as the Kirov-class battlecruisers, Slava-class cruisers, Sovremenny-class destroyers, and Udaloy II-class destroyers, the AK-130 became famous for its massive twin 130mm water-cooled guns, extremely high rate of fire, and intimidating turret size.

Takom reproduces this impressive naval weapon system in 1/35 scale as a standalone display model, focusing on the armored turret structure, twin gun assembly, and mechanical detail rather than an entire ship build. The result is a museum-style naval artillery centerpiece with exceptional visual impact and engineering presence. The completed model is enormous in scale, often described by builders as closer to a “macro engineering display” than a traditional ship accessory.
