The Scania T-142 H was the cab-over-engine variant of Scania's flagship 142 series, powered by Scania's 14-litre turbocharged V8 diesel engine — at the time one of the most powerful truck engines in Europe. The T-type (torsion cab) designation indicates the flat-front cab-over configuration, as opposed to the R-type conventional cab. Introduced in the early 1980s, the 142 series became a favourite of long-haul European operators for its combination of power and reliability. This Testors-distributed release is a rebox of Italeri's original 1981 tooling (kit 753).
