The Fw190D-9, nicknamed the "Langnasen-Dora" (long-nosed Dora), was the inline-engined development of the radial Fw190 fighter, fitted with a Junkers Jumo 213 engine and a lengthened nose to balance the airframe. Entering Luftwaffe service in the autumn of 1944, it was widely regarded as one of the best German piston fighters of the war, offering strong high-altitude performance and improved speed over earlier A-series aircraft. Trimaster's late-1980s multimedia kits set the standard for detail in their day and remain sought after by collectors.
