This kit replicates the Imperial Japanese Navy battleship Musashi, sister ship to Yamato and one of the two largest battleships ever built, armed with nine 18.1-inch main guns. Commissioned in 1942, Musashi served as a flagship of the Combined Fleet before being sunk by US carrier aircraft at the Battle of the Sibuyan Sea in October 1944. This is part of Tamiya's long-running Water Line Series, built as a waterline hull to 1/700 scale.
