Description
78024 - Tamiya 1/350 TONE Japanese Heavy Cruiser
The IJN Tone was the lead ship of the Tone-class heavy cruisers of the Imperial Japanese Navy, commissioned in 1938. Designed primarily for reconnaissance support, all main gun turrets were grouped forward to allow the aft section to operate floatplanes for long-range scouting. Tone served extensively during the Pacific War, including operations at Midway and in the Solomon Islands, before being sunk in 1945 during Allied air attacks.
The Tamiya 1/350 IJN Heavy Cruiser Tone 78024 is a detailed 1/350 scale plastic model kit depicting the unique configuration and operational fit of this historic warship.
