The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 shocked Western forces when it appeared over Korea in November 1950, outperforming virtually every UN aircraft then in service and forcing the rapid deployment of the F-86 Sabre to counter it. The MiG-15bis was an improved production variant with a more powerful Klimov VK-1 engine derived from the Rolls-Royce Nene, and was operated by Soviet, Chinese, and North Korean pilots throughout the Korean War. This Clear Edition kit includes semi-transparent fuselage parts in addition to the standard grey parts, allowing builders to display the aircraft with or without clear panel sections.
