The M577 was the command-post variant of the M113 armoured personnel carrier, fitted with a tall raised rear superstructure to provide a mobile, protected headquarters with map boards, radios, and generator power. Built on the proven aluminum-hulled M113 chassis, it served U.S. and allied armies from the Vietnam era through the Cold War and beyond as the standard tracked command vehicle. It remains a long-serving and widely recognized support vehicle.

This is a 1/35 scale injection-moulded plastic kit, Tamiya Military Miniature Series No. 71.
