The Kubelwagen Type 82 (Pkw.K1) was the German Army's standard light utility car of the Second World War, developed from Ferdinand Porsche's Volkswagen "people's car" and built in the tens of thousands from 1940. Its light body, rear-mounted air-cooled engine, and torsion bar suspension gave it good cross-country performance, and it served on every front from North Africa to the Eastern Front in reconnaissance, liaison, and general transport roles. This is Tamiya's 1/35 scale kit, Military Miniature Series No. 213.
