Fuel and water were the lifeline of every army, and the German forces moved both in 200 litre steel drums and the pressed steel 20 litre canister the Allies admired enough to copy and rename the jerry can. Drums and cans were routinely strapped to tanks and softskins to extend operating range, and became a familiar sight in every supply dump and roadside refuelling point from Normandy to the desert. Cans carrying water were marked with a white cross so a thirsty crew would not drink petrol by mistake.

• Six 200 litre fuel drums, moulded with the two protection rings used for rolling
• Two drum lids moulded without fuel caps so a pump can be inserted, with separate filler caps also supplied
• Sixteen 20 litre jerry cans with pressed lettering for Wasser and Benzinkanister
• Two stand pipes and two hand pumps
