During the Second World War, non-mechanized German units such as the infantry were fed by horse-drawn field kitchens, usually pulled by a team of two to four horses and capable of feeding well over a hundred men at a time. A unit consisted of a front limber carrying the driver and supplies, coupled to a trailer holding the cooking range and soup kettle, and its tall upright flue earned it the nickname "Gulaschkanone", or goulash cannon. This is Tamiya's 1/35 scale kit, Military Miniature Series No. 103.
