The GAZ-AA 1.5-ton truck was the Soviet Union's primary light cargo vehicle throughout World War II, derived from a licensed Ford Model AA design and produced in large numbers from the early 1930s onward. The simplified 1941 field configuration featured straight fenders, curtain doors, and a single headlight to speed up production under wartime conditions. These trucks formed the backbone of Red Army logistics, moving troops and supplies across the Eastern Front in some of the war's most gruelling conditions.
