The 1942 Ford Super Deluxe four-door sedan was one of the last civilian automobiles produced in the United States before wartime manufacturing restrictions halted passenger car production entirely. The U.S. Army requisitioned large numbers of these vehicles as staff cars, used by officers and headquarters personnel throughout all theatres of the war. This Tamiya kit is No. 59 in the 1/48 Military Miniature Series and features a die-cast metal chassis for added weight and stability.
