The Universal Carrier, often called the Bren Carrier, was the most widely produced armoured fighting vehicle of World War II, with over 113,000 built. Used by Commonwealth forces across every theatre, it served in roles ranging from infantry support and reconnaissance to carrying anti-tank guns and mortars. The Mk.II variant introduced improved armour plating and was the most common production version, seeing extensive service from North Africa to Northwest Europe.
