The Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM dominated the 2000 DTM revival season, with AMG running eight cars across four teams. Team D2 fielded Bernd Schneider and Thomas Jaeger; Schneider took six wins to claim the 2000 DTM Drivers' Championship, with Mercedes also securing the Manufacturers' title. The CLK ran a 4-litre naturally-aspirated V8 with rear-wheel drive, maintaining the production car's body silhouette over a full racing chassis. Original new tool from Tamiya, released 2001. Three other CLK DTM liveries were issued as companion reboxes (24237 Original-Teile, 24239, and others).
