Description
TAM20020(2020) - Tamiya 1/20 Lotus Honda 99T - WWHP113556
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
Team Lotus ran the 99T through the 1987 season with Honda's 1.5 litre V6 turbo behind a Gérard Ducarouge carbon monocoque, and it was the car that introduced computer-controlled active suspension to a front-running F1 team. Ayrton Senna and Satoru Nakajima drove it, Senna taking wins at Monaco and Detroit before leaving for McLaren. Tamiya released this Grand Prix Collection No. 20 kit in 1987 with the cooperation of Team Lotus, and this box carries the Borgfeldt Canada importer sticker from the original Canadian release.
In the box:
- Styrene sprues covering the full body, carbon monocoque tub, wings and suspension
- Full Honda V6 turbo engine detail with removable engine cowling for display
- Slick tires with separate wheels
- Decal sheet with team and sponsor markings and race number 12
- Instruction sheet with assembly and painting guide
- Cement, paint and tools not included
