The Lloyd C.V was a two-seat Austro-Hungarian reconnaissance biplane notable for its plywood-veneered wing construction, which produced an exceptionally smooth and aerodynamically efficient surface at the cost of difficult battlefield repair. Fast for its class, the C.V equipped several Flik (flying companies) on the Eastern Front in 1917 and was considered closer in performance to a single-seat scout than a conventional two-seater. Special Hobby's 2002 limited edition 1/48 kit is a multi-media release covering four Serie 46 airframes, all from first-production-run aircraft with individual markings.
