The Sukhoi Su-22 was the export version of the Soviet Su-17 "Fitter," a rugged swing-wing fighter-bomber that served across the Warsaw Pact and beyond. The Su-22M4 was the most advanced variant, and Czechoslovakia flew both strike and reconnaissance versions, the latter carrying a large centreline reconnaissance pod. This SMER kit depicts aircraft 2719 of the 47th Reconnaissance Air Regiment at Hradec Králové during the 1989 to 1990 transition from ČSSR to ČSFR, in a striking green and brown camouflage.
