Description
5071 - Rye Field Model 1/35VK45.01 (H) Fgsl.NrV1) Tiger Experimental Series
The VK45.01(H) (Fgst.Nr.V1) Tiger Experimental Series represents one of the earliest prototype stages in the development path that ultimately led to the legendary Tiger I heavy tank of World War II. Developed by Henschel, the VK45.01(H) competed directly with Porsche’s competing heavy tank design before the Henschel design was selected for production. This experimental vehicle combined early heavy armour concepts with evolving suspension and hull design solutions that would later be refined into the production Tiger I. Rye Field Model’s 1/35 scale kit reproduces this prototype configuration with highly detailed exterior components and a full interior layout, capturing the engineering experimentation of Germany’s late-1930s/early-1940s armored development program. Original release from Rye Field Model, kit RM-5071.
