Description
RSM92021 - RS Models - 1/72 Dornier Do-17P 'Legion Condor' - WWHP113699
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Dornier Do 17 began as a fast mail plane and became one of the Luftwaffe's first modern bombers, earning the nickname "Flying Pencil" for its slender fuselage. The Do 17P was the long-range reconnaissance version of the radial-engined Do 17M. It was powered by two BMW 132 N engines and carried Rb 50/30, Rb 20/30 or Rb 10/18 cameras, giving it a range of about 1,800 km. Around 220 were built, and the type flew with the Legion Condor's reconnaissance unit A/88 in Spain before serving over Poland in 1939.
