Description
RPM72502 - RPM 1/72 Tankietka TK-3 - WWHP111418
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
The TK-3 was a Polish tankette developed in the early 1930s, derived from the British Carden Loyd Mk VI carrier. A two-man vehicle armed with a single 7.92mm machine gun, it was produced in significant numbers and formed the backbone of Poland's armoured reconnaissance units at the outbreak of World War II in September 1939. Despite being badly outmatched by German armour, TK-3 crews conducted determined delaying actions throughout the September Campaign.
This specific boxing depicts the TK-3 rearmed with the 7.62mm Hotchkiss wz.25 machine gun — a variant of the standard armament fit used by some units.
