Description
ROD048 - Roden 1/72 An-12 BK Civilian - WWHP111640
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Antonov An-12 was the Soviet Union's main four-engine turboprop transport — the rough counterpart to the Western C-130 Hercules — and the An-12BK was a late, refined production variant. This kit covers the civil configuration, the type that served Aeroflot and later post-Soviet cargo carriers as a workhorse freighter. This is Roden's tooling, a new-tool kit first released in 2002.
Box contents:
- Grey-moulded plastic sprues (a large, multi-sprue kit — roughly 240 parts)
- Clear parts (cockpit/observation glazing)
- Multiple waterslide decal sheets
- Printed assembly + painting instructions
Marking options (4): An-12BK in Aeroflot colours (early 1960s and early 1980s schemes), Ukrainian Cargo Airways (2001), and Volare Airlines, Ukraine (2002). Requires cement and paint. This is a big, detailed kit with fine/fragile parts — better suited to an experienced builder, and it produces a large finished model (roughly 53 cm wingspan).
