RMXH-644 - Revell 1/72 Morane-Saulnier N - WWHP119920
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Morane-Saulnier Type N was a French single-seat monoplane fighter of 1914–15, one of the earliest purpose-built scouts of WWI. Its most notable feature was a forward-firing machine gun fitted with steel deflector wedges on the propeller blades — a crude but effective interim answer to firing through the propeller arc before true synchronization gear arrived. Fast for its day but tricky to fly, it served with French, British, and Russian units and was flown by several early aces.
This is the vintage Revell "Authentic Kits" boxing of the 1/72 Morane-Saulnier N, copyright 1965, based on Revell's classic 1960s tooling. Box art by B. Knight; decals represent the aircraft of Russian ace Ivan Smirnoff. Roughly 4.5″ wingspan when built.
Box contents:
- Injection-moulded plastic parts on sprue, with movable wheels, propeller, and engine
- Detailed pilot figure
- Display stand
- Waterslide decal sheet (Russian markings)
- Illustrated assembly/painting instructions with collector's three-view drawing and aircraft history
