The North American P-51D Mustang was the definitive version of the legendary American fighter, combining the Rolls-Royce/Packard Merlin engine with a bubble canopy for all-round visibility and six .50-calibre machine guns. With drop tanks it had the range to escort heavy bombers all the way to Berlin and back, and it became one of the most effective and celebrated fighters of the Second World War. It went on to serve in Korea and with air forces around the world for decades.

This is the Canadian-issue Revell "Authentic Kits" boxing of the 1/72 P-51D Mustang (69¢ in Canada), from Revell's classic series, with full French instructions and a frameable box-top illustration by B. Knight depicting "The Millie P."
