RMXH-653 - Revell 1/72 Nieuport 28 - WWHP111656
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Nieuport 28 was a French single-seat biplane fighter of 1917–18, powered by a Gnome rotary engine. Though passed over by the French in favour of the SPAD XIII, it became the first fighter flown in combat by American-trained pilots of the U.S. Air Service. Captain Douglas Campbell of the 94th "Hat in the Ring" Aero Squadron scored the first aerial victory by an American-trained pilot in the type, which served as the AEF's frontline fighter until SPADs became available.
This is the vintage Revell "Authentic Kits" boxing of the 1/72 Nieuport 28, copyright 1966 (Venice, CA), based on Revell's classic 1960s tooling. Decals represent Capt. Douglas Campbell's 94th Squadron aircraft.
