Description
RMXH-640 - Revell 1/72 Bell P-39Q Airacobra - WWHP111666
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Bell P-39 Airacobra was an unconventional American fighter with its Allison engine mounted amidships behind the pilot and a 37 mm cannon firing through the propeller hub. Mediocre at altitude, it excelled in the low-level, ground-attack role, and was supplied in large numbers to the Soviet Union under Lend-Lease, where it became a favourite of Red Air Force pilots. The P-39Q was the most-produced variant. The box art depicts a Soviet VVS machine.
This is the Revell (G.B.) Ltd. boxing of the 1/72 P-39Q Airacobra (Potters Bar, England), based on Revell's classic "Authentic Kits" tooling, with a frameable box-top illustration by B. Knight. Decals represent a Soviet aircraft.
Box contents:
- Injection-moulded plastic parts on sprue, with movable propeller and wheels (build wheels up or down)
- Clear canopy
- Pilot figure
- Waterslide decal sheet (Soviet VVS markings)
- Illustrated assembly/painting instructions with aircraft history
