Scott Kalitta grew up in drag racing as the son of NHRA legend Connie “The Bounty Hunter” Kalitta. Racing for his father’s team, he won back-to-back NHRA Top Fuel championships in 1994 and 1995. The red Top Fuel dragster was sponsored by the family’s air freight company, American International Airways, and it was one of the best-known cars on the quarter-mile in the mid-1990s. This 1996 Revell kit shows the car as Kalitta went for a third straight title, with a nitro-burning supercharged Hemi, a long chassis and a tall rear wing.
