In 1968 Chrysler contracted Hurst Performance to convert roughly 80 Dart GTS hardtops into lightweight 426 Hemi Super Stock drag cars, sold without warranty and flagged as intended only for supervised acceleration trials. This 2011 new-tool Revell Special Edition kit builds either a factory stock 440 Dart GTS or a Hemi drag car with a scooped hood, racing interior, and drag slicks.
