Mark Blundell is a British former racing driver who competed in Formula One with teams including Ligier, Tyrrell, and McLaren before crossing to CART with PacWest Racing in 1996. The 1997 season was PacWest's most successful -- Blundell won three races in the #18 Motorola Reynard-Mercedes. He finished sixth in the 1997 CART championship with three wins and five podiums. The Reynard-Mercedes combination, running on Firestone rubber, was one of the most competitive packages in the series during this period.
