The Peterbilt 359 was introduced in 1967. Its long squared-off hood, tall chrome stacks and big polished grille made it the classic North American long-nose conventional. Each truck was built to its owner’s hauling needs, and the 359 became a favourite with owner-operators across Canada and the United States. It earned the nickname “King of the Open Road” before the Model 379 replaced it in 1987.
