Description
RMX4124 - Revell 1/72 P-47D Thunderbolt - WWHP111649
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was among the largest and heaviest single-engine fighters of WWII, built around the powerful Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial and a turbo-supercharger system. The P-47D was by far the most-produced variant, serving as both a long-range bomber escort and a rugged, hard-hitting ground-attack aircraft thanks to its eight .50-cal machine guns and heavy ordnance load. Its ability to absorb battle damage and return home earned it a lasting reputation among Allied pilots.
This is the 1992 Revell AG (Germany) release of the 1/72 P-47D, skill level 2, with box art by J. Velc depicting "Teddy." Completed model length approx. 14.8 cm; paint and cement not included.
Box contents:
- Injection-moulded plastic parts on grey sprue
- Clear canopy
- Waterslide decal sheet for USAAF P-47D markings
- Multilingual pictorial assembly instructions
